Meet Your Royal Oak Physical Therapy Team

Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in health sciences and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University. She has been working in the Outpatient PT setting for about nine years. Her experience includes treating a wide range of conditions, including chronic and acute pain, sports injuries, pre- and post-surgical, pediatrics, vestibular, and neurological conditions such as stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s Disease. She has certifications in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), LSVT BIG, Pelvic Floor 1 and 2B, and McKenzie Part A. She has also been treating women’s and men’s health conditions for more than 7 years. Her experience includes treating pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, urinary frequency, pelvic organ prolapses, pre- and post-prostatectomy, and symptoms related to progressing pregnancy.

Her goal as a physical therapist is to work together with patients to not only achieve their goals but to also incorporate strategies and exercises that manage their symptoms and prevent further exacerbation in the future.

When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys quality time watching anime with her husband and playing with her two young sons.
